ddouthitt dcea08d3fa Bug caught by Robin Adams <robin@adams-online.de> where 
getkey was not being checked for spurious nulls after driver
initialization.  Turns out getinfo was in the same category.
Both: fixed.

ddouthitt 07608e742e Tried to reduce amount of work necessary to flip the backlight - since 
under VNC, this occurs rather slowly.  Less work is done, but the
result has not changed.

ddouthitt f7ff05870f Updated MatrixOrbital driver: 
* Doesn't update the display unnecessarily - now has "memory" and won't
  update if the display hasn't changed
* Debugging code: logs to syslog for everything if debug_level is set
  high enough.

ddouthitt 4f60edc230 This file contains the beginnings of a "library" (not in the true 
sense) of functions to be used by drivers.  Things like freeing a
framebuffer, creating a frame buffer, andding characters or strings
to a framebuffer, et al, are here...

ddouthitt 2ae4511295 Made default (example) configuration more reasonable. Changed 
sense of -t option for the MtxOrb driver: now gets WxH (20x4) instead

ddouthitt bf5daf36ad Now the curses driver supports a -B option: backlight color (on) color. 
This goes with the "standard" background color option -b to give the
appearance of a backlight.

ddouthitt 74153173c1 Fixed major bug: drivers that accepted size arguments could wind 
up with more than 80 characters (20x4) in their display, and thus
overwrite memory outside of the allocated 80 characterwframebuffer.

For example, using a 20x6 screen would do this.

All drivers now either ignore a missing framebuffer, or allocate it
themselves - the latter is prefered.

ddouthitt 71c3035611 * Changed MatrixOrbital driver to support the traditional -t option 
(for type: 20x2, 20x4, 20x6) etc.

* Fixed bug that appeared when using a size larger than 80 characters
  (20x4): framebuffer was allocated before size was known!

Drivers should NOT look for framebuffer to be allocated before they
start - but 80 characters are there anyway (for now).

ddouthitt 2ed349c691 Cleaned up option processing. Added code to use getopt(3) but never 
got it working (it's #ifdef'd out).  Expanded flexibility of
-t option (now accepts any case, and looks at only first three
characters); so "-t lkd202-25" works as expected...

ddouthitt eb6e99e7e8 Server no longer uses a fixed lcd structure, but now a pointer to 
a lcd_logical_driver structure (lcd_ptr).  Fixed bug in lcd.c
which caused lcd_drv_getkey_loop to act badly.

ddouthitt ae2f2d5638 Documented in configuration file the ability to use different names for 
the drivers (ie, "MatrixOrbital" instead of "MtxOrb").  Added more

ddouthitt 31d9cc98c0 Added support for the new svga driver into lcd.c; 
however, the Makefiles will need to be modified to support
linking against libvga and libvgagl, and support for the SVGALIB_DRV
define will have to be added to autoconf or whatever.
